Trondheim was a 1 hour flight from Bergen heading North and a bit west. From there we would make our way down the coast. To reiterate our Scandinavian route:
Boston to Amsterdam to Copenhagen Denmark
Train to Aalborg to catch overnight ferry to Bergen Norway
Fjord tour round trip Bergen to Flam and back
Flight to Trondheim from Bergen
Ferry to Kristiansund
Car rental to Alesund For a night and then continue drive to Andalsnes to catch train to Oslo
Bus to cross in to Sweden/train to Stockholm (day 15)
Overnight Ferry to Tallinn, Estonia
2 hour Ferry to Helsinki, Finland last stop before heading out of Scandinavia
Next stop to Dohar, Kutar in Africa, then down to Cape Town
Trondheim was a happy place with lots of students but not much to do off season. Highlights if we had more time were ferry to Monk's Island and Lian.
We did see an amazing cathedral and enjoyed the walking tour. My apologies if these images are repeats. We had a wonderful afternoon walking around Trondheim.
