Tomb Raiders

We stayed in Siem Reap at Angkor Miracle. We went by Tuk-Tuk to see Angkor Thom including the Bayon with its giant stone faces, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King.

We were excited to see Angkor Wat and the Wat where Tomb Raiders was filmed with the famous trees that weave within the tomb structure. The reigning King had not wanted to 'outdo' Angkor Wat, so instead of size and height he built a whole fiield of smaller temples. It absolutely looked like a movie set, surreal in its coloring, lighting and the intermix of stone buildings, natural trees and plants. This was S's favorite.
