The Naked Shaman and More from Varanasi

So we weren't sure if a photo was appropriate (probably no, but we are so sure many won't ever see one or Varanasi in their lifetimes so we wanted to give you a real view) to capture one of the naked Shaman walking the streets. He is covered in ash. What makes it more memorable is that it was rather cold out. Our guide said 'shamans don't feel cold'. Here is the Shaman and other sights of Varanasi. There are lots here of the Buddhist pilgrimage as well as the amazing rooftop garden at the hotel we stayed at on the Gangis River. Our whole Indian trip of 17 days was coordinated by railbookers.com. They did an amazing job. We were on our own/not in a group, however the whole trip, transfers and guides were coordinated by them.

My apologies on a few photo repeats and any typos in the blog (thanks Mom for the heads up). Getting the galleries to load is tough and if a duplicate needs to be removed it requires deleting the whole gallery. With loading speed (slooooow) and lack of time between working and actually seeing these places I am rushed to stay on top of it. In short, this is as good as it gets and if a few repeats happen consider them extra special memories:-)

We're very much enjoying your India excursion vicariously. Love all the photos and the commentary. Our day isn't complete without a MWT blog.

Love to all, Auntie Chrissie and Uncle Bob
