MWT Fall/Winter Highlights


As we head home for the holidays, 100+ days later, we spent time revisiting our favorite spots and moments in Scandinavia, Africa and South America which collectively included:


A Copenhagen dinner and harbor boat tour

The Fjord tour in Norway and the overnight ferries

Walking in Stockholm

The Nobel Peace Prize Museum in Oslo

Walking in Estonia


Cape Town, South Africa--everything

Cape of Good Hope lighthouse and hike to the point

Safari adventures in Botswana at Camp O. Savute and Miomi particularly the crazy jeep ride to the Pangolin sighting

A currency exchange in Zimbabwe and Victoria Falls

K's speech and our visit to HMA in Ethiopia

A Qatar dinner on a restaurant roofdeck

A Qatar driving tour to Lusail stadium and Place Vandome

Finding Shake Shack at the Dubai Airport after a rerouted, unplanned overnight flight


Madrid-everything especially the Brutal Bar and Tapas Tour

The Duomo in Milan

Sushi with work friends in Porto


Lima's Barranco neighborhood

Painted Mountain in Peru

Perurail trip from Puno to Cusco

World Cup watching while adventuring across Argentina and watching Argentina ultimately win

Iguazu Falls and the Grand Melia in Argentina

Border crossing to Brazil and the Iguazu falls boat ride


While I can't pull photo favorites from too far back and every post has plenty, I'll provide a handful of random ones along with the wearable, walkable Scarlett Chase red heels because they will always have a little Oz like quality to them as a result of the timing of their release while we were so far from home, no matter what the future holds. Some of you might also find the airplane wing interesting as I did, as its the exact font as used in The Road to AUM, the second edition of which was released days before we headed out on the MWT.


Our second half begins with a London stop and then on to Bombay right before MLK day. Stay tuned...
