Milan for SC

We diverted to Milan in order to check in on the SC project. It was also S's first time in this beautiful city. Our weather was poor but the Duomo never fails, nor does the most gorgeous covered shopping intersection in the world. K and S also diverted on a quick train ride, day trip to Lake Como while I was at the factory overnight.

The SC project is happening about 3 hours outside of Milan by train. The factory is producing one of the most iconic brands in the women's luxury footwear market, and Scarlett Chase. We have yet to load colorways fully onto the website given our production delays. Coming from finance and marketing consulting, the shoe biz is a notable departure in personalities, pace and process. We are working through it. I am realizing that, as others had noted and I've tried to do, showing up is mission critical. A personal visit is worth a good 6-8 weeks of production time. Visits never seem long enough either, with each element of a shoe in a different specialiast's hands and building.
