Being in South America for the World Cup was magic. Of all of K's exceptional planning, how he nailed our route visiting Qatar pre world cup, and then 3 weeks in Argentina for the world cup, with Argentina reigning victorious, was magic. The people just adore futbal, and we loved seeing the celebrations in the streets. We saw a game in Cordoba, visited Messi's home town of Rosario, and enjoyed a game in Buenos Aires, Argentina and then the finals in Brazil, where South American pride was in full display and lots of Argentinians are residents. The pride for what we know as soccer is so strong here. In Boston we are spoiled by consistently amazing sports teams Here the soccer clubs are the main draw, and every 4 years the olympics of soccer--the World Cup.
