We had an adventure via the Fjordline Startavenger ferry cruise ship for one night. The boat was large enough to land helicopters, had many car decks and hundreds of rooms. We did have a room with a large port window which was lovely at night and again in the morning as we were never far from shore despite the large size of the boat which was befuddling. When we entered the room we searched for a third sleep spot as the room barely comtained a full width bed. Thats rough for 3. After checking with the main desk we had failed to look up to where a lock switch released a lofted daybed for Scarlett. The ladder in the room should have been our tip off. The boat was quite rocky for the first stint and many weary travelers grabbed white bags for you know what. No Murphy's were phased. Mom worked on the hallway stairs for a few hours as quiet space was at a premium. The night time peaceful port window and quieter seas was quiet wonderful and a great way to travel. We docked in Bergen Norway at 2pm local time after a leisurely breakfast onboard. Our hotel, the Clarion Admiral Hotel, was a 15 minute walk. Not for future tours--Scarlett does not appreciate cobblestone streets no matter how quaint when dragging luggage. Amd Daddy says it 'adds to the adventure' and 'will be worse elsewhere'. Scarlett voiced her first 'I want to go home'. But the request was fleeting.
