We finally stepped foot in an automobile for 24 blissful hours. Never so happy to see a Subaru!! Lovely ride from Kristiansund to Alesund and then on to Andalsnes to find the train to Oslo. It is amazing how crisp the scenery is and we finally have our first sunny day in the 10 days weve been traveling. It is amazing how the mountains just land in the sea here--no beach-- which makes for the most picturesque vistas. Also, snow capped mountains in the distance against lush green valleys of farms and lower trees than in North America's west coast. If it werent for the trees and the intriguing Fjords Id be certain we were driving through Washington state. Scarlett is enjoying the car as all pre-teens would--asleep in the back. People drive super nice cars here and everything is very clean.
