We spent the first days of the MWT acclimating in Copenhagen, Denmark. The weather was like fall in New England. The atmosphere is lively ansd european. Biking is their key focus. Lots of drinking and smoking-more than expected around us, but we were also on the edge of the U of Copenhagen campus. Scarlett was working on her roar face for pictures and adjusting to Daddy's 'we walk everywhere' plan. We enjoyed seeing what family members we could find in the National Gallery of Denmark art works. We enjoyed Trivoli's rides and fireworks. Scarlett identified a 'little sister' of a Michelin rest and enjoyed a 7 course tasting menu. Kelley and I went cocktail free and with 4 coursss to offset. She is drawing in the journal I bought and captured the pigeon leg and heart delicousy with amazing detail. We stayed in an awesome AirBnB with laundry and a gorgeous quad area which was unexpected for an 'apartment hotel'. Highlights of the city were the Planeterium, the Little Mermaid, the DAC which housed a space enabled small pod, a boat tour around the city and a crepe stand. We also treated our room with some fresh flowers as we were there for 4 nights. The Danish Krone was well positioned for us although our carry on rule limited the fun of spending. Copenhagen was lovely and a great easing into Scandanavia and the MWT overall.
