We took a ride out to see some vistas of the middle Himalayas from a hillside where S made her first and last snowman of the season. The trees are reminiscent of the pacific northwest here. Apple trees on terraced mountain sides dot the visible landscape. The view shows the range with Pakistan to the left, and China and Tibet to the right. The Oberoi was demonstrative of the Indian colorful motif while maximizing the view. We took a trek into the woods to catch some views from here too. We probably ate our best meal in Indian here, an unexpected lunch with the sun strong enough to enjoy the view from outside.
